Tree and log quality webinar

According to the Pocono District of Penn State Extension, which covers Carbon, Monroe, Pike and Wayne counties, a Tree and Log Quality webinar will be held on Feb. 12, from noon to 1 p.m., and repeated at 7 p.m.

Pennsylvania is well known as a source for high quality hardwood lumber. Some of the best black cherry, ash, and red oak are found in the state.This webinar will discuss the characteristics that the wood products industry look for in trees and logs to make high quality products such as lumber and veneer, and how defects affect product quality.Presented by Scott Weikert, forest resources educator, Penn State Extension.
