A pair of Slatington Area men stole jewelry, cash, and other items after they broke into a Washington Township home over the weekend, before they took off in the resident's vehicle.

Allen M. Varilek, 21, and Justice D. Hoffman, 18, burglarized the home in the 2600 block of Grove Street, between noon Saturday and noon Sunday, while the homeowners were out, according to published reports.

Varilek and Hoffman were arrested Monday morning in a motel in Ralpho Township, Northumberland County, as part of a routine patrol at which time police spotted the stolen car, according to the reports.

The two men were sharing a room with Jordan Detalente, 18, of Bloomsburg, at the Glosser Motor Inn in the Paxinos section of Ralpho Township, according to the reports. Detalente was charged with possession with intent to deliver drugs.

Varilek and Hoffman were held in Northumberland County Prison as they awaited charges in that county, according to the reports.
