A Tamaqua man was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 6:08 p.m. Dec. 25 on Route 100 in Lowhill Township.

State police at the Fogelsville barracks said Harold G. Wagner Sr., 83, sustained minor injuries.

He was a passenger in a 1996 Buick Regal that was operated by Alexander J. Wagner, 22. Two other passengers, Harold G. Wagner, 48, and Harold G. Wagner III, 23, were uninjured, as was the driver.

Police said the vehicle was southbound on Route 100 when the operator lost control of it while negotiating a curve. Police said the vehicle spun counter-clockwise and struck a cement divider with its front driver's side tire. The vehicle traveled over the divider, traveling east, and continued to spin in a counter-clockwise motion until coming to rest about 500 fees south of Hollbens Valley Road in the northbound lane of traffic.

Police said the driver will be cited for failure to drive at a safe speed.
