One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 2:54 p.m. Dec. 27 at the intersection of Greenview Drive and McIlhaney Road in Chestnuthill Township.

State police at the Fern Ridge barracks said the crash occurred when Morton L. Monk, 80, Freehold, N.J., driving a 2002 Ford Taurus, was northbound on McIlhaney Road and Mary L. Argot, 67, Pocono Lake, driving a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer, was westbound on Greenview Road.

Police said Monk failed to stop and yield to traffic on Greenview Road, at which time his vehicle struck the Argot vehicle as it traveled through the intersection.

Police said Argot sustained a minor injury and was transported by ambulance to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for treatment.

Police said Monk will be cited for a stop sign violation.
