About 200 adults and children took part in the Lehighton Area Lioness Lions Breakfast with Santa, which was held recently at the Lehighton Recreation.
After gathering their gifts, meeting with Santa Claus and having a photograph taken of the momentous occasion, the children and their parents and grandparents dined on pancakes and sausage.
Each child received a goody bag and a gift. Many of the children wrote letters to Santa.
Entertainment was provided by "The Doctor" of Penn's Peak Radio.
Carbon Model Railroad Society provided a model train display at the event.
Some of the families have been coming to this event for years.
Proceeds from the event will benefit several organizations, including Toys for Tots, glasses for needy families, Carbon County Friends of Animals cat shelter and other projects of Lions International.
Coordinating the project was Alicia Shutack-Silliman.
The club sold out again this year.
Breakfast with Santa is one of the club's biggest fundraisers.
"Doing events for children is one of our missions," said Silliman.
