Six persons hurt in Interstate crash

Six persons were injured, including one person who was ejected from the vehicle, in a one-vehicle crash at 10:19 p.m. Dec. 24 on Interstate 80 in Tunkhannock Township.

State police at the Fern Ridge barracks said the severity of the injuries sustained by the victims is not known at this time. They also did not reveal the name of the persons who was ejected. All of the persons hurt were passengers in the vehicle.

Police said the driver was Gaffar B. Gailani, 42, of Piscataway, N.J. He was driving a 2004 Toyota Sienna eastbound when it drove off the south side of the road, causing the vehicle to overturn.

Police identified the passengers ar Susan M. Maglad, 35, Widad Abdelmagid, 50, Mahmoud Gailani, 10, Jaoilano Gailani, 8, Khalid Gailani, 4, and Ali Gailani, 6.

Police said the driver will be cited for driving too fast for conditions.
