Members of the Lehighton Area Educational Support Personnel Association recently held a collection to help aid Carbon County Friends of Animals. Staff collected an overwhelming amount of items, such as wet and dry cat food, cleaning supplies, blankets, toys, bleach, shampoos, and paper products.

These are just a few of the items that are used daily at the shelter.

Lehighton Support Personnel is comprised of over 100 members, including custodial and maintenance staff, nurses, cafeteria, attendance officer, paraprofessionals, payroll, emotional support staff, network analysts, and secretaries.

ESPA members distribute donations to organizations yearly, including the residents of the Summit Nursing and Mahoning Valley Nursing homes.

This is the first time of incorporating the Carbon County Friends of Animals and the donation drive was a great success.
