State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks are investigating a forgery/retail theft incident that happened between 5:45 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Dec. 12 at the Weis Market in the Pottsville Park Plaza, Norwegian Township.

Police said an unknown female picked up a prescription at the store that did not belong to her, fraudulently signing for it. It was later determined the prescription belonged to Michael Minrod of New Philadelphia.Police said the female also removed an over-the-counter product from a shelf and returned it to the store customer service desk for store credit, for which she received a gift card.
