Injuries averted in I-81 crash

No one was hurt in a one-vehicle crash at 2:46 a.m. Dec. 22 on Interstate 81 in Ryan Township.

State police at the Frackville barracks said Brian Njau, 29, of West Lawn, Berks County, was driving a 1999 Audi Quattro A6 south when he lost control of the vehicle. It left the west berm, struck a guide rail and came to rest on the west berm facing south.

Police said the driver will be charged with driving on roadways laned for traffic.
