Two subdivisions ok'd by Carbon planners
Carbon County planners gave the green light on two subdivision plans recently.
During the monthly meeting of the county planning commission, the board recommended approval for Rolf and Melanie Windhorn's plans at the property of First Baptist Church, 3145 W. Stagecoach Road, Towamensing Township. The plans call for combining two lots to create a 4.026-acre lot.
Ivan O. Meixell Jr., county planner, reviewed the plans with the commission, stating that he believed the plans, as submitted meet all requirements of Towamensing Township's land development ordinances. He then recommended approval of the reverse subdivision.
In the second plan by Paul T. Spadel proposes combining two lots to create a .975-acre lot at the intersection of Towamensing Trails and Miller Way, Towamensing Trails, Section III, in Penn Forest Township.
Meixell said that the plan meets all final/lot line revision plan requirements of the Penn Forest land development ordinances and recommended approval.
In other matters, David Bodnar, the new director of the county Office of Planning and Development, was at the meeting and introduced himself to the commission.
