Police investigate arson at Carbon Plaza

Mahoning Township Police are investigating a fire at Carbon Plaza early Sunday morning.

At around 3:44 a.m. Mahoning Township Police were dispatched to a fire alarm at the Carbon Plaza Mall on SR443.

When personnel arrived on scene they found that there had been a fire inside the Beverly Hill Nail Salon section of the Mall. The fire was extinguished by the fire sprinkler system. While several surrounding businesses sustained water damage, and were forced to remain closed for business no injuries were reported.

The investigation showed that the fire was intentionally set. Anyone with information is asked to contact Mahoning Township Police at 570-386-2241.
