An 18-year-old Summit Hill resident has been charged by Nesquehoning police with underage drinking as a result of an incident on Nov. 23.

Police said Jared Arthur Eickoff, 178 W. White Bear Drive, was cited after the incident at 1:26 a.m.Police said he was observed lurking on the roof top at 460 E. Catawissa St. after which time the office observed him jump off the roof onto the front lawn of the residence. After a police chase, he was caught at the rear of the residence and was in possession of a Busch beer can. Police said they noticed signs of drinking and smelled a strong odor of alcohol on Eickhoff.In addition to being charged with purchase, consumption, possession or transportation of alcohol while underage, he was also cited for flight to avoid apprehension.
