Rear-end collision reported in Monroe

State police at the Fern Ridge barracks were summoned at 9 a.m. Dec. 12 to investigate a rear-end collision on Route 115 in Chestnuthuill Township.

Police did not reveal the identities of the drivers but said a 2008 Ford F150 and a 2000 mercury mariner were involved in the mishap.

Poilice said both vehicles were ttraveling south on rt. 115 when traffic ahead of them suddenly stopped. Police said the operators tried to stop their vehicles to avoid the collision but the F150 driver was unable to do so and the truck struck the rear of the Mariner.

No one was injured in the mishap.
