Lansford Historical Society to host Victorian Christmas
DONALD R. SERFASS/TIMES NEWS Lansford's Kennedy Park is decked out for the holidays as seen here Tuesday evening. On Sunday, the Christmas spirit will be showcased at the Lansford Historical Society Museum, 300 E. Bertsch St.
The Lansford Historical Society will sponsor a Victorian Christmas holiday musical program Sunday at the organization's 300 East Bertsch St. headquarters. The event will feature the Coal Cracker Chorus of Barbershop Singing starting at 6 p.m. followed by holiday music and a Christmas Carol sing-a-long with entertainer Leilani Chesonis of Shenandoah.
Following the two musical programs, everyone will be invited to partake in refreshments and holiday goodies available downstairs in the Panther Valley Public Library.
Those in attendance are encouraged to check out the new displays in the Lansford Historical Society Museum along with improvements being made to the library.
"Plan to spend the entire evening as we celebrate the Christmas season and all that these two organizations offer to the Lansford community," said Bill Harleman, president, Lansford Historical Society.
Admission is free for the musical programs and open house. Donations are welcome. This is a rain, snow or shine event, say organizers. For more information, call 570-617-4683.
