Monroe driver facing DUI count

A Monroe County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence following a one-vehicle crash that occurred about 7:15 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 29, at State and Sugar Hollow roads, in Chestnuthill Township.

State police at Fern Ridge said Lawrence S. Levine, 53, of Saylorsburg, failed to negotiate a turn and crashed into a tree. He was found to be under the influence and was transported for a blood test. The DUI charge is pending the test results, troopers said.
