The Palmerton Concourse Club will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 502 Lafayette Ave., Palmerton.
Bringing in the Yuletide Season will feature guests Resa Hall, vocalist, and Frank Hall, accompanist.
No newspaper drive
There will be no newspaper drive by St. John's Lutheran Church in the month of December. The drive will be held on Saturday, Jan. 4.
Persons who wish to dispose of papers throughout the month may take them to the garage across from the church on Fireline Road, which is always open.
Carbon Model Railroad
The Carbon Model Railroad Society will hold its Holiday Open House at 529 Ore St., Bowmanstown, on Thursdays, Dec. 5, 12, 19, and 26, as well as Jan. 2 from 7-9 p.m. It will also be open Saturdays and Sundays, Dec. 7, 8, 14, and 15, and on Jan. 4 and 5, from 1-5 p.m.
The main "HO" scale display is in various stages of completion, and is an excellent learning tool. On the second floor, the club's portable "HO" and "N" displays will also be in operation.

Children's Christmas Party
Get in the Spirit Children's Christmas Party will be held at the Palmerton Area Library from 6-7:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 9.
Kids ages 3 to third grade are invited to come to the library in their pajamas and hear stories read by Mrs. Claus. Make and take a craft home and enjoy snacks. A special visitor may be stopping by.
The event is sponsored by the Library Teen Group.
Little White Church
A Christmas service will be held at the Little White Church, Columbia Avenue, Palmerton, at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
All are invited to attend.
Ecumenical Christmas Service
The ninth annual ecumenical Christmas service at the Little White Church, Third Street and Columbia Avenue, will take place at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
This year, the Rev. Richard Wilcock, from Faith Alive U.M.C., Bowmanstown, will deliver the message. The theme for the Little White Church and service will be "angels."
