Final registration dates

This Friday and Saturday will be the final days for residents of Carbon County to register for the Toys for Tots Campaign. Registration is held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Salem Bible Fellowship Church, 1105 Frederick's Grove Road, Lehighton. No telephone calls will be accepted. Distribution of toys will take place at the church from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14.Nativity displaySt. John's Lutheran Church, South Avenue, will host its sixth annual indoor nativity display from noon until 5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday. Transportation will be provided by trolley leaving the train station every half hour from noon until 3 p.m.Set up date for the display is 3-7 p.m. Thursday and Friday.BloodmobileThe next scheduled visit of the American Red Cross bloodmobile has been set for 1-6 p.m. Dec. 18 at Memorial Park.Bible studyThe Women's ecumenical Bible study will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4 at St. John's Lutheran Church, South Avenue. The group, under the direction of Joan DeAcetis, is studying the Gospel of Mark. The group is open to all women of the community.
