State police at the Hazleton barracks have reported details of a three-vehicle accident that happened at 4:30 p.m. Aug. 23 on Route 93, Hudson Drive, in Packer Township.

Police said two persons were transported by life flight to Lehigh Valley hospitals for treatment of "non-life threatening injuries."

They are Danny Ray Green, 47, of Whitehall, and Erin Mary Delregno, 30, of Freeland.

The third person involved in the crash, Keith D. Halechko, 36, of Beaver Meadows, refused medical treatment at the scene.

Police said the accident happened when Green, driving a 1997 Ford Explorer, was southbound on Route 93. The vehicle traveled into the northbound lane and struck a 2006 Pontiac G operated by Delregno. After the initial impact, the Explorer continued in the northbound lane where it struck a 1999 Volkswagon jetta driven by Halechko.

Police said Route 93 was closed to traffic for about an hour.

They said charges are anticipated to be filed upon completion of the investigation.
