Charged with DUI

Published August 22. 2013 05:03PM

Kenneth Shankweiler of 9 State Road, Barnesville, has been charged by McAdoo police following a June 27 traffic stop in the borough.

An officer on patrol observed Shankweiler operating a silver Dodge Durango that did not have functioning license plate lights. The driver was unable to produce his driver's license and a records check indicated his license was suspended.

Noting a strong odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle, the officer asked Shankweiler to perform several field sobriety tests, which he failed. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a suspended license.
