Schuylkill break-in

State police at Frackville are investigating a burglary at a Schuylkill County residence.

Troopers said a home at 1250 West Penn St., Shenandoah, West Mahanoy Township, was entered sometime between Aug. 15-18. Removed from the home were several containers of various types of coins. Entry was gained through an unlocked window to the rear of the home.

The house is owned by the estate of Dorothy Steele, troopers said.

Troopers also reported on a criminal mischief incident. Unknown criminals threw a brick and smashed the front door glass at the property of Signature Springs, LLC, 22 Signature Springs Blvd., Brandonville, East Union Township. The criminals also threw rocks through both side windows and front windshield of a backhoe parked on the property.

The incident occurred sometime between Aug. 17 at 3 p.m. and Aug. 18 at 8 a.m.
