Susan Zeigler of New Ringgold was taken via ambulance to Blue Mountain Health System, Gnaden Huetten Campus in Lehighton aroud 9 a.m. yesterday after the SUV she was driving collided with an on-coming tractor trailer, impacted another vehicle, traveled down a concrete culvert and came to rest in a stream along Lizard Creek Road (SR895) in Andreas. West Penn Police Chief Brian Johnson reported that Clair Troxell, Lehighton, was driving a tractor trailer west on Lizard Creek Road when he spotted a parked garbage truck staged on the curb of the road. Johnson said that Troxell told him he avoided the garbage truck by swerving in the other lane. This resulted in the front impact with Zeigler's SUV and caused her vehicle to come to rest in a concrete culvert adjacent to the road. The crash also caused fair damage to the rear of a parked Jeep Cherokee, owned by Melissa Spencer, located next to the culvert at 816 Lizard Creek Road.
