West Penn bank robbed

The Sovereign Bank in West Penn Township, at the crossroads of SR309 and 895, was reportedly robbed this morning.

All area police departments were alerted at 10:10 a.m. that a white male, approximately 5 feet, 6 inches tall, wearing a dark blue hoodie and sunglasses had robbed the bank and fled.

Reports note he was operating a maroon and black Harley Davidson motorcycle and fled west on SR309, headed toward New Ringgold. A partial license plate of CA3 was also reported.

West Penn Township Police, state police, and police officers from several other communities responded to the scene.

There were no reported injuries.
