Grandmother, granddaughter earn black belts

A grandmother and granddaughter were

honored recently after earning their 1st and 2nd degree black belts from The Tang Soo Do Association. Cesar Fernadez, left, owner of C&J Mountain Warriors, Lehighton, presented Colby Ruzicka, center, and her grandmother, Natividad Ruzicka, right, both of Palmerton, with their certificates. Colby earned a 2nd degree black belt while Natividad earned a 1st degree. They are the first grandmother and granddaughter team to receive this honor at C&J Mountain Warriors. Colby, 13, is the daughter of Christine and Jason Malick. She is an eighth-grade student at Palmerton Junior High School. Natividad is married to Thomas Ruzicka.
