Owl Creek dams to re-open to public
The Owl Creek dams in Tamaqua will reopen to the public following a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Saturday.
Hosted by the Borough of Tamaqua and the Owl Creek Reservoir Commission (OCRC), the ribbon cutting will be held at the Lower Owl Creek Dam starting at 10 a.m. Senator David G. Argall and Representative Jerome P. Knowles will also participate in the ceremony, along with Borough officials and OCRC volunteers.
The event is open to the public. Following the ceremony the OCRC will open its concession stand and offer free hayride tours of the dams.
