Community evening fellowship program scheduled Aug. 17

The Tamaqua Area Faith Fellowship Network is hosting an evening of music and fellowship at the Tamaqua Train Station Aug 17 starting at 6 p.m.

Musicians representing congregations in the area will present a program of inspirational songs similar to the Chamber of Commerce's Summer Community Concerts at the station. Messages will be mixed with the music and free ice cream will be distributed near the end of the program.Presenters include Paul Mulhern, St. Peter and St. Paul; Faith Roberts, Living Stone Fellowship; Katie Sprenkle, New Life Assembly; Nicole Eckert, Bethany; the Rev. Rodney Hall, Primitive Methodist; Susan Featro, St. Peter and St. Paul; Joe Krushinsky, St. Mary's Ukranain (McAdoo); the Older and Bolder Choir, Salvation Army; and Bill Clause, Zion Stone Church.Jay Martinez, St. John's Lutheran, will MC the event and Jim Stoves, Bethany, will deliver a short message. Other participants include the Rev. Susan Daniels, First Methodist, and Cindy White and George Taylor, Zion Lutheran.All are welcome and are encouraged to bring lawn chairs for the event.TAFFN will distribute free ice cream at the end of the evening.The raindate for this event is Sunday, Aug. 18 at 6 p.m. Check the TAFFN website at
