State police at Lehighton reported on two crashes probed by troopers.

A one-vehicle crash was reported at 11 a.m. on July 31 along SR33 exit ramp in Saylorsburg, Hamilton Township, Monroe County. Troopers said Colin A. Aranzullo, 31, of Albrightsville, was attempting to exit the road when he lost control of his 1988 Suzuki motorcycle. The bike laid down on its side.

Troopers said after getting back up Aranzullo took his passenger, Elaine N. Alvarez, 21, of Albrightsville, to a physical therapy office, dropped her off, then left the scene without reporting the accident. Alvarez suffered a compound fracture to her arm, troopers said.

Aranzullo has been charged with accidents involving personal injury, accidents involving personal injury while not property licensed, and aggravated assault by vehicle, along with summary violations.

A two-vehicle crash was reported about 4:38 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 10, along SR248, at the intersection with Centre Street in Parryville, Carbon County.

Troopers said Joseph A. Doria, 48, of Bethlehem, was driving a 1994 Yamaha motorcycle westbound and approaching the intersection while Denise L. Brown, 37, of Lehighton, driving a 1995 Buick LeSabre, was attempting to make a left turn onto 248 from Centre Street.

Troopers said the bike crashed into the side of the Buick as Brown pulled out.

Doria was taken by Palmerton ambulance to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. Brown and passengers Duane P. Loftus, 52, of Nashville, Tenn., and Richard Fronheiser, 10, of Lehighton, were not injured.

The bike was towed from the scene while Brown was able to drive her vehicle from the scene.

Troopers cited Brown for stop signs and yield signs.
