Man jailed for violating PFA

Published August 12. 2013 05:04PM

A Schuylkill County man was jailed on Sunday for violating a protection from abuse (PFA) order.

State police at Frackville said Christopher Petrylak, 42, of Shenandoah, contacted a 36-year-old female from Shenandoah, by cellular phone on multiple occasions on Sunday. He also followed the female in his vehicle from West Mahanoy Township to Shenandoah.

The woman has an active PFA order issued by the county court that Petrylak could not have any type of contact with the woman.

He was taken into custody and charged with indirect criminal contempt. He was arraigned by video at the county prison by on-call District Judge David Plachko, Port Carbon, and committed to the prison after failing to post $15,000 straight cash bail.
