August 10, 1960 Gene Sabol scatters eight hits and works out of constant trouble to lift Coaldale to a 1-0 Panther Valley Little League tournament win over Tamaqua. Sabol faces the bases loaded in two different innings and Tamaqua has runners on base in every frame, but the Coaldale hurler keeps his opponent off the board. Sabol also scores the game's only run in the second inning. After he singles, Dan Schaffer sacrifices him to second and Frank Petrash delivers an RBI hit.
