Troopers are investigating the theft of an item sold online.

According to state police at Lehighton, troopers were contacted by Penny Lynn Reaser, 38, of Saylorsburg, to report that she received a fraudulent cashier's check for an item she was selling online in July.After receiving the check and depositing it into her bank account, Reaser was informed that the check was fraudulent.Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call troopers at (610) 377-4270.
