A Carbon County driver was cited following a two-vehicle crash that occurred about 2:43 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 6, at the intersection of Old Route 22 and Kecks Road, in Weisenberg Township, Lehigh County.

State police at Fogelsville said Ronald D. Jones, 57, of Palmerton, was driving a 2003 Dodge Dakota northbound on Kecks Road and approaching the intersection. At the intersection Jones stopped for a stop sign then pulled out without ensuring there was no oncoming traffic.

The front left bumper of his vehicle struck the driver's side rear tire and quarter panel of a 2008 Dodge Ram truck driven westbound on Old Route 22 by Harinder P. Singh, 52, of Saylorsburg.

Upon impact the Ram rotated 360 degrees and crossed over the double yellow line and traveled eastbound on Old Route 22. It continued traveling through the eastbound lane and into the front yard at 1898 Kecks Road. The front bumper of the Ram then struck the northern wall of that address.

Singh and his passenger, Clinton H. Scott, 65, of Walnutport, sustained minor injuries but did not require immediate medical attention. Jones was not injured.

Troopers cited Jones for duties at stop signs.
