Published August 06. 2013 05:03PM

A Tamaqua man has been charged in connection with a domestic abuse incident.

Brad Comisac, 35, of 412 E. Elm St., allegedly threatened his girlfriend with bodily harm on multiple occasions during the month of July. The victim contacted police on July 31 and provided the details, including an incident on July 9 when Comisac wouldn't allow her to leave the bedroom, holding a gun to her head.

Police charged him with making terroristic threats, unlawful restraint, simple assault and harassment.

After contacting police the victim applied for and received a protection from abuse (PFA) order. On Aug. 1, Comisac made repeated phone calls to the victim's home and workplace and was cited for indirect criminal contempt of court.
