Nesquehoning man is 90 years old
Sam Citrano of Nesquehoning celebrated his 90th birthday on July 7. He was born in New Columbus and is one of 12 children born to the late Jerome and Elizabeth Citrano.
He worked for many years as a Fuller Brush Man before retiring.
Sam is married to the former Jennie LaRizzio Citrano. They celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary on June 25.
Sam has two daughters, Lisa, wife of Earl Lindenmuth, and Ann Marie, wife of Elmer Stauffer. They also celebrated their birthday on July 7.
He has five grandchildren, Sarah Mitchell Shimkus, Kelly Stauffer Meade, Michael Stauffer, Ryan and Michael Lindenmuth. He also has two great-grandchildren, Hailey and Gabriel.
A surprise party along with a "90 years of memories" slide show was held to note this special occasion.
