State police at Schuylkill Haven reported a second arrest for violating a burn ban imposed in Schuylkill County.

Troopers said Dom Mercuri, 58, of Schuylkill Haven, was cited about 11:32 a.m. on Tuesday, April 23, while burning trash at 300 SR61 at Country Squire in North Manheim Township.Troopers noted the county commissioners imposed the burn ban on April 5. It is in effect until May 5. This was the second arrest made by troopers for violating the ban.On April 9 troopers cited Jerry A. Bittle, 69, of 1042 Woodland Drive, in North Manheim Township, for having an open fire in his backyard.
