State police at Lehighton reported on the following crashes investigated by troopers.

A two vehicle crash occurred about 7:25 p.m. on March 19 along Pennell Road, in Ross Township, Monroe County. Troopers said Adam S. Alexander, 17, of Effort, was driving a 2005 Hyundai Accent southbound when his vehicle struck the rear of a 2000 Toyota Corolla driven by James V. Laguardia, 64, of Saylorsburg. A passenger with Laguardia, Frances T. Laguardia, 61, same address, sustained a minor injury but did not require immediate medical attention.

A motorcycle crash was reported about 10:30 p.m. on April 9 along Smith Road, in Polk Township, Monroe County. Troopers said Gerard G. Nieroda, 20, of Kunkletown, was driving a 1995 Yamaha XT600 southbound when he struck a deer that had entered the road in front of him.

After impact the bike overturned and struck the road with its side. Nieroda was injured and taken to the Palmerton hospital, troopers said. He was cited for driving a vehicle at a (un) safe speed.

A three vehicle rear-end type crash occurred about 3:05 p.m. on April 12 along SR209 at Gilbert Road, in Polk Township, Monroe County.

Troopers said Russell A. Lacoe, no age given, of Effort, was attempting to make a turn into a local business with Francis X. Quinn, 72, of Philadelphia, behind him. Rachel J. Allen, 27, of Kunkletown, failed to slow for traffic and the front of her 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse struck the rear of Quinn's 2003 Toyota Corolla, pushing it into the rear of Lacoe's 1997 Toyota T100 truck.

Allen, Quinn, and a passenger with Quinn, Thomas E. Dolan, 59, of Philadelphia, were injured and taken to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg.

Troopers cited Allen for following too closely.
