Weatherly woman facing DUI count

A Weatherly woman is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following a two-vehicle crash that occurred in February in Nesquehoning.

About 8:03 p.m. Officer Brian White was dispatched to SR209, near Redners Warehouse Market, to a report of an accident.On scene and through an investigation White determined that a Dodge van, operated by Susan Rose Martin, 55, of 47 First St., had crossed the double yellow line and collided with another vehicle.Martin showed signs of intoxication and failed field sobriety tests. She was placed under arrest and transported to St. Luke's Miners Memorial Hospital, Coaldale, where she submitted to a blood test. The result was .30BAC.She has been charged with two counts of DUI and summary motor vehicle code violations of driving on roadways laned for traffic, driving on the right side of the road, careless driving, and reckless driving.Police noted the other driver in the accident was not injured.
