A student at a Schuylkill Intermediate Unit 29 school has been charged with a felony count of aggravated assault involving the principal of the school.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said a 13-year-old female student from Minersville was arrested following an incident that occurred on April 4 about noon at Maple Avenue Campus, in Norwegian Township.Troopers said the student bit Assistant Principal Casey Horvath on the hand during an incident. Troopers said the student faces felony charges.
