Fund drive established for Lehighton fire victims

Published April 10. 2013 05:03PM

A clothing and fund drive has begun for a Lehighton family left homeless in a fire last evening.

The blaze destroyed the home of Derek Flexer, his wife Bobbi Jo, and their daughter, Payton, who will soon be 6 months old.

The drive was started at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Mahoning Township, where the Flexers are members.

The family also has two dogs.

A member of the church said the family has no clothing or baby supplies.

Anyone who could help with either a financial gift or clothing or baby supplies should contact the church at (570) 386-9960.

They also can contact Lisa Moyer or Wendy Guzenski on Facebook.

The family is presently residing with relatives.
