Helping food pantries

Earlier this year, the Jim Thorpe Police Department hosted the annual Policeman's Ball in Jim Thorpe. The proceeds from the Policeman's Ball goes towards different organizations every year. This year, many of the proceeds went to local food pantries at Ebenezer Church, St. Joseph's Church, and Grace St. Paul's United Methodist Church. Each of the food pantries received two boxes of food and a check for $200. Representatives of the three food pantries met with members of JT Borough Council and the Policeman's Ball Committee to receive their donations.
