Traffic stop leads to DUI charge
A traffic stop of a Lackawanna County driver has led to a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) and drug counts.
Pocono Mountain Regional police said Allison Aniska, 28, of Scranton, was stopped about 3:50 a.m. on March 30 along Interstate 80 in Tunkhannock Township, for a vehicle code violation.
She was found to be DUI of alcohol or a controlled substance, police said, and was taken into custody. She was transported to the county DUI center where she submitted to a blood test. Police noted they found marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and an empty plastic baggy containing white powdery residue in the vehicle.
