A need for <a href="http://D.A.R.E">D.A.R.E</a>. volunteers
ANDREW LEIBENGUTH/TIMES NEWS Jason Lorah, a DARE coach and West Penn Township Police officer, volunteers his time cleaning the D.A.R.E. wall after the event last month in Tamaqua.
Members of the Tamaqua Area D.A.R.E. program are always looking for volunteers to help with year-round activities. State and local budget cuts mean that volunteers have to work harder to raise funds to keep the program running. Some upcoming activities consist of a roast beef benefit this Saturday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the TamaquaRescue garage (19 Pine Street) and DARE graduation April 11 at the Tamaqua Middle School Auditorium.
