Wanted person found in Tamaqua

A Wilkes-Barre man found himself lodged in the Schuylkill County prison, Pottsville, following a vehicle stop in Tamaqua on Sunday, March 31.

Patrolman Joseph Krebs was working a roving DUI patrol at 11:54 p.m. when he observed a vehicle with a broken taillight being driven on East Broad Street. Krebs stopped the car and discovered the inspection sticker was missing.

The driver, Amanda Christine Reese, 20, of Hanover Township, was cited for the missing inspection sticker. A routine records check on the driver and her passenger, Tyrek Williams, 20, of Wilkes-Barre, revealed an outstanding warrant for Williams. The warrant was issued by Luzerne County officials.

Williams was transported to the county prison to await retrieval by Luzerne officials.
