Robbery being probed in Monroe

An armed robbery is being investigated in Monroe County. State police at Fern Ridge said the incident occurred about 8 p.m. on Friday, March 29, in the parking lot of Dollar Queen, located at 1507 SR209, in Brodheadsville, Chesthuthill Township.

Troopers said the owner of the store, identified as a 58-year-old male, was approached by two individuals in the lot. One of the two displayed a handgun and demanded cash. Upon receiving the cash the gunman pushed the victim to the ground and fled the scene.

The vehicle used by the two suspects was described as a midsized sedan, silver in color.

The one suspect was described as being a black male, about six feet tall, a large nose, clean shaven, wearing a black and white bandana on his head, a silver T-shirt, a black and white checkered jacket, blue jeans, and wearing red sneakers.
