One person seriously injured

At least one person was seriously injured Sunday afternoon when involved in a crash in Towamensing Township. The crash occurred at 2:30 p.m. involving a pickup truck and a car at the intersection of Forest Inn and Stage Coach roads. One person, believed to be the driver of the car, was trapped in the wreckage and freed by members of the Towamensing Township Fire Company of Trachsville. That person was treated at the scene by members of the Palmerton ambulance and Lehighton paramedics before being flown to an area trauma center. State police at Lehighton are investigating the incident. Towamensing fire police maintained traffic control at the scene.
