Published April 01. 2013 05:05PM

Bringing together a large array of art styles, Panther Valley High School art teacher Kim Burkett has partnered with the Tamaqua Community Arts Center to hold an art gallery highlighting some of the art classes she teaches at the school. Over 100 pieces are featured as part of the gallery, being held at the center. Some of which include Intro to Art, Drawing and Painting, Ceramics 101, 3D Design and Graphics and so on. "The hard work is obvious with the quality of work here," said Burkett, who has practiced over 19 years in the art field. "Their personalities really show in their works." Kim Grant, gallery and arts coordinator for the center, said the level of talent these students possess is phenomenal. The works will be on display until April 17. For more information or to schedule a free tour of the gallery visit them online at or by calling the center at (570) 668-1192.
