Fishing blind

Robert Brennan, 47, of Nesquehoning, fishes with friends in the Little Schuylkill River in Clamtown during the first regional day of trout season on Saturday. Brennan, who has been blind 9 years, said he is hard to get off his feet. He added, "Like everyone else, I do alot of slipping and sliding." Brennan, called "Fisherman Bob" by friends, stressed his love of fishing, adding that he has fished in over 8 states. Brennan said he supports catch and release and commits himself to cleaning old line and fishing debris from rivers when he can. In Pennsylvania, persons with total blindness are not required to purchase a fishing license.
