Delaware driver facing DUI count
A Delaware driver is facing a charge of driving under the innfluence (DUI) following an incident in Monroe County.
State police at Fern Ridge said David B. Metts, 60, of Smyrna, was traveling westbound on Interstate 80 in Tobyhanna Township, about 6:13 p.m. on Saturday, March 29, when he was observed driving in an erratic manner and driving with a flat tire.
Troopers attempted to make a traffic stop but Metts continued westbound. He stopped after a short pursuit, troopers said.
Metts showed signs of intoxication and was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI. He was taken to the county DUI center for a blood test.
He was lodged in the county prison in Snydersville pending arraignment.
