Heritage Hill to chair annual Alzheimer's Memory Walk

Heritage Hill Senior Community in Weatherly will again chair the Alzheimer's Memory Walk for the 12th consecutive year.

Alzheimer's is a disease that has affected over 5 million Americans and causes them to behave erratically, becoming disoriented and forgetful.

The Alzheimer's Association provides vital programs that include: family caregiver training, support group assistance, Safe Return program, telephone information and referral, and professional in-service programs.

This year's Walk will be on Saturday, Oct. 6. Registration for the walk begins at 9 a.m.

The three-mile walk through the borough of Weatherly begins at 10 a.m. at Heritage Hill, 800 6th Street.
