Student charged with harassment

A student at Palmerton Area High School in Lower Towamensing Township, has been charged with harassment. It was one of two harassment incidents reported by state police at Lehighton.

Troopers said a 14-year-old male was charged after he poked a 13-year-old male in the forehead with his finger and jumped on his back. The incident occurred between 10-11:45 a.m. on Sept. 13, troopers said.

Troopers said David Messinger, 25, of Palmerton, was cited for harassment after he allegedly made continuous contact with a 19-year-old female after being warned by police to cease the behavior. The incident occurred in the area of 515 Forest Drive, on Sept. 20 at 9 p.m.
