One person was hurt in a two-vehicle accident at 3:58 p.m. Sept. 21 on Route 309 in Lynn Township.

State police at the Fogelsville barracks said David J. Fritzinger, 60, of Pottsville, sustained minor injuries and was transported to the Gnaden Huetten Memorial Hospital, Lehighton. Police said he received minor lacerations.

Police said the accident happened when a 2001 Ford F250 operated by Wallace R. Fennel, 85, of Breinigsville, traveling north on Rt. 309, struck a 2012 Chevrolet G3500 operated by Fritzinger. The latter was southbound at the time. Police said the driver's side mirrors of both vehicles contacted each other, causing both driver's side windows to break upon impact.

Both vehicles were driven from the scene.

Police were assisted by the Northwestern and Lehighton EMS units as well as the New tripoli Fire Police unit.
