Tech-Net Comedy Night will feature comedy, music, prizes

A night of fun and laughter is planned for Saturday, Nov. 10, when the 10th annual Tech-Net Comedy Night will be held at Penn's Peak, 325 Maury Road, Jim Thorpe.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Dream Come True, Blue Ridge Chapter and five local fire companies, including Aquashicola Volunteer Fire Company, Franklin Township Volunteer Fire Company, Lehigh Township Volunteer Fire Company, West End Fire Company, Brodheadsville; and Slatington Volunteer Fire Company.Tech-Net Professional Auto Service has raised more than $100,000 over the past nine years from this one-night event to support the local community.Doors open at 5 p.m. for Chinese auction action and at 7 o'clock, Wise Crackers Comedy Club, featuring headliner Kevin Meaney, will present side-splitting laughter for two hours. Then the crowd will rock out from 9 p.m. to midnight with Big Things, the Pocono's premier party band, playing anything from classic rock to the top 40 hits.Donations of items, services, gift certificates are being accepted for the Chinese auction.
